curiosity killed the cat (or seeking girl)

currently a sophomore who is yearning for the day i enter college. my list is rather far-fetched and i was curious if my academics mirror my selected schools, which namely include columbia (legacy) and tufts.
unweighted gpa (out of 4.0)- 4.0 (as of now)
weighted gpa- 4.59 (freshman year)
rank- 15/870 (freshman year)
psat- 1360 (without studying because whew doesn’t count until next year)
i’ve already taken one ap class and am taking world and biology as of now. i plan to exponteially raise my gpa junior year as i will be taking 4 aps and will actually be studying (because let’s just say some of those finals weren’t so hot). my ecs are rather seasoned already, but i prefer not to inculde them, for i merely wish to see my chances based upon my academic standings. thanks and good luck to whoever answers and their endeavors!

You sound like you’d be a competitive candidate for Columbia, and a very competitive one for Tufts, if you:

  • Studied for the SAT and got a great score.
  • Improved your academic credentials as you say you plan to.
  • Got strong essays, extracurriculars, and letters of recommendation.

Continue going strong and earn some leadership roles in your clubs. Best of Luck!

pretty impossible to chance you now… we don’t know any EC stats or how you’ll do in the future, and not at all how the SAT will go. Study a lot for the SAT and keep grades all A’s. don’t worry too much yet and i guess keep developing whatever EC’s you do have…
