<p>UCB: Low Reach
UCLA: High Match
Caltech: Reach
Stanford: Reach
UCSD: High Match
USC: High Match</p>
<p>Your SAT I is killing you, although your subjects will help make up for it a bit. Middling grades. Decent ECs, way better than average but nothing that stands out as particularly awesome.</p>
<p>UC Berkeley - Reach
UCLA - Reach
Caltech - High Reach
Stanford - High Reach
Michigan - Low Reach/Reach
Purdue - Don’t know enough to give you an accurate chance
Georgia Tech - Don’t know enough to give you an accurate chance
UIUC - High Match
UCSD - High Match/Low Reach
USC - Reach</p>
<p>Try to raise your grades if at all possible, and aim for an SAT I of at least 2000+, ideally 2100+ although for some of the top schools on the list you really want 2200-2300+. Chances at UCs are also hurt because of OOS status.</p>
<p>I’ll be taking SAT1 or the ACT again in may.I know the score isn’t great they’re bad
Hey! but I’d say thanks for your time
What if I join a community college in California(I own a house there and lived there for 8 years before shifting to India in 1998) and pay my own bills.
For a minor, being financially independent for 2 years+ the year of transfer makes him an instate student. What do you think? :)</p>
<p>Suppose I go to a community college this year(in california) and simultaneously apply to all the schools mentioned above for the fall 2014 session. If I get selected, well and good,I’ll shift but if not I’ll enroll in the UC tag system which guarantees transfer to one of the UC.
The only hitch I feel is,will I be considered a freshman after that?
Just sharing my thoughts
waiting for your reply…</p>
<p>No, I think you will be considered a transfer student. Also beware that in light of budget cuts, some UCs have eliminated their TAG programs, such as UCSD and some others limiting the number of TAG transfers they allow.</p>
