Curious about my chances of getting in

I screwed up in 9th and a little bit of 10th grade in high school, so my GPA is now a 3.56 weighted. Right now I’m taking 2 AP classes which are AP Statistics and AP Environmental Science. I’m also taking Calculus Honors right now. I achieved a 1260 on the SAT and I’m waiting for my results for the December one. I am getting a letter of recommendation from my Algebra 2 teacher, guidance counselor, and my pre-calculus/calculus teacher. I’m definitely taking more rigorous classes each year. For extra-curricular activities I tutor other students in math and I am a treasurer in Key Club.

If anyone can take a look at this information and provide some feedback on my chances that would be great, thank you.

GPA is very important. However even with a lower GPA, if they see an upward trend, that’s in your favor. Also your test scores are decent. I think you’ve got a shot at a summer admit, depending on how strong your essay was. Good luck!

I applied for fall. If they deny me for fall, is there anyway to reapply for summer?

I just got my results for the December SAT. I received a score of a 1320 and now have a superscore of 1330.

I think you’re in good shape.

A 1260 on the SAT is a good score. On the UCF website it says the average for last years incoming fall class was around a 1300. Also, it sounds like you have an upward trend of class rigor, which UCF also likes to see.

Just read that you got a 1320 later on… nice job!

Just an update that I just officially got denied…

Sorry to hear that. What are your plans?

@newphonewhodis sorry to hear this, what’s your plan. Perhaps call undergrad admissions and ask about summer sessions.
