Curious - auditions - Go it alone???

Compdad - I can tell already that I’m definitely going to need to not be present at D’s auditions. I get so nervous! More than her, I think. Sounds good that we’ll be able to hang out with other parents, since they will be going through the same thing.

Shellybean, to answer your original question, if your S ends up choosing to audition at USC, he most definitely could do it alone and here is why…1)He could take a van from the airport to USC which is about 20 min away (my S has done it) 2) Stay at the Radisson on the east side of campus 3) and walk to his audition which is close enough to the Thornton buildings. They are very easy to find. These are 3 small and doable steps IMHO.

poprockmom, thanks for the advice. If he does go ahead with USC, that will most likely be what we will have to do. We just are so indecisive on USC. It is out of our price range, but if he got a scholarship… and ya never know until you try, I guess. I can’t believe I lost my crystal ball!!! :)

shellybean, as I think has been mentioned, USC is known for offering decent need-based FA, and there is a way to calculate what you’d be likely to get (again, see the USC FA sticky by alamemom). So scholarships (merit, non need-based) are not the only way.
