Please respond if you have any comments or critiques

Looks good man. You're a junior, right? If USMA finds you competitive, you will get the formal application early next school year. In the meantime, start the nomination process by contacting your Senators/Congressman. You really should go to Boys State, it's an awesome program. You have Eagle, though, so your leadership shouldn't be an issue. You don't play any sports? Start working out hard now for the fitness test. Finish out this year strong, and good luck!

Never heard of AP Precalc. If you're a Junior, they can send your formal application in a few weeks if you start the various processes. I had completed most of my forms prior to summer of junior year (excepting medical).

You're gonna need a 300 APFT for an A-, 375 for the A+ (I'm only hitting at best 330 with the extra points for pushups, situps and shortened run time)
Work on your chinups, and good on the weight range. Many find the fat % standards rather taxing. I don't think you're in danger, haha.

As per training, take this advice- if you do play a varsity sport (if not, try to join one!) be careful in your training, especially if you are looking to play for USMA. Alternate running and biking so that you retain the cardio but without the stress on the shins and etc. Swimming will help too, another exercise that is not so damaging.

PS- you look like a very strong candidate so far! Keep up the good work! (my school doesn't really have weighted GPAs, you're stuck with what ya got!)

In addition to retakng the ACT (WP mean score is 29 for English and Math), take the SAT.

Good luck!

Replie to BLKnightMulan:

Our APFT consisted of only three events(2 min. push-ups, 2 min. sit-ups, 2 mile run).
This made the max score 300 for us.

the max score on a 3 event APFT (which is the only APFT to my knowledge) is not 300, if you score above the max on all three events you are eligible for bonus points

The CFA requires pull ups as does I believe Airborne (I think the minimum is 7 pull ups) 1 bonus point per additional sit up, pushup and there is a rate for the run but I can't recall at the moment but men- you'll need I heard under a 12min 2 mile for the 375. My parents (because they make me feel insufficient) are training me for the 10min 2mile "because when we were your age, we could do it in under 10 and can't understand why you can't"

The advice on training was merely advice for the avoidance of shin splints and other leg related maladies. Why start there with shin splints? shudder
