Uhh - I put Caltech as a fit-reach. A Caltech student admissions officer told me that I was very borderline so if I improved I could have a decent shot. As for UChicago - people who evaluated my stats said I have a 75%-90%, likely, but not guaranteed. And I fit in with Chicago too. I can also imagine myself in Caltech - but not MIT.

umm...I don't know. I really want to go to Syracuse or UM, but I don't have a chance.

American U.
Ohio U.
Bowling Green State U.
Hollins U.
Midway College
Purdue U.
Denison U.
Marietta College

We'll see what happens with the SAT scores in April.

Scripps College (Target)
The George Washington University (Target)
Tufts University (Reach)
University of Miami (Safety...Target)
Cornell University (Big Reach)
Vassar College (Small Reach)

Where is the American University, oneiros or poison?

Washington D.C.

Oh yeah, and you reminded me, I've also got some UK universites, like Richmond, but also U of Wales and a few others.

Well, I know I'm two years away from applying (I'm a soph), but I think these are basically where I'm thinkin:

Oberlin (my top choice after my dad banned Vassar from my options)
Denison
Kenyon
Grinnell
Carleton (maybe)

This list is in progress...I'm still researching a lot...its bound to change in the next year or so, but Oberlin will definetely probably stay number one, and Denison/Kenyon/Grinnell will probably stay, too.

thewildflower: I'm curious as to why your dad banned Vassar College?

I'm thinking about:
Harvard (most likely early action here) and Princeton
Columbia
UPenn
Duke
Stanford
MIT

JHU
UChicago
NYU

I don't know, I change my mind about colleges and majors once every ten seconds -_-

Currently, it's...

Matches: WashU, Northwestern, Rice, UChicago, Duke
Reaches: Yale, Stanford, Dartmouth
Safeties: I don't know...Kansas University if it comes down to it, I guess.

I'm definitely having a hard time with UChicago. I visited the campus on Monday and I'm really having a lot of mixed feelings about it. I love the atmosphere, classes, professors, and the intellectualism, but dislike the urban setting, cramped buildings, quarter scheduling, weather, and lack of non-academic opportunities (aka, stuff to do for fun =P).

Haha...I remember deus.ex.machina saying that she was really intent on going to UChicago a while ago. Through about half of the information session I wondered if there was something wrong with deus...

Probably:

Harvard
Yale
Dartmouth
UPenn
WUSTL
Williams
Stanford
Cornell (Safety)

Cornell University the ivy as a safety? Safety? =|.
