is it possible to get an Associates degree in high school by taking an obscene amount of AP's?

I took 35 APs in high school. every single of of my classes was AP. I was even in AP Lunch and AP Study Hall.

Kind of, but no. High schools don't offer Associate's degrees, but community colleges do. What that means is that you'd have to graduate, go to a community college, report your AP scores, get the credit and complete any other requirements that the community college might have. I also think that there's a minimum amount of credit that you have to take on the site of the community college, so again, you can't just get it from AP.

Keep in mind, however, that it's not that great of an idea for a lot of reasons. For example medical schools require that you take some classes in college rather than in high school. Taking AP Physics wouldn't fulfill the physics requirement for medical school.

dominus96-- you took ap study hall too? i loved that class. good times.

i wasnt considering it, i was just curious.

thanks alot

^^ I wish I had taken that class, but it sounded so difficult. I took the easy way out and took regular, dumb study hall. I totally regret it now. D:

oh my gosh, don't stress too much. like, i looooved it... but it was still a lot of work.
we basically studied ALL the time. in the hall.

yeah i wanted to take Honors Study Hall instead, but i felt daring! the AP exam was so rough: we had to memorize a 600 page book in 5 minutes and re-write the whole thing!

I would definitely advise against AP Lunch. The test is literally impossible to get a 5 on.

The teachers for AP Lunch are usually pretty bad. They don't even know what AP Lunch is about!

what was your ap exam like? i had to eat 30 pizzas for mine.

It was horrible. I had to buy a soda, eat a sandwich, drink my soda, AND talk to my friends- all in 30 minutes. So rigorous.

same. I got a 2. I don't want to talk about it...

You got a 2, sarahhs? You're lucky: I got a -4. They hated my free response, apparently.....

I heard they are adding AP Bathroom as a new ap course.

gaaah, i'm so jealous!! if i had been able to take that, i could have tested out of the Bathroom course in college & gotten to take some advanced courses.

I'm with Sarahhs. I'm going to be a bathroom major in college too. I've already decided my thesis: Special Signals Between Males in Minneapolis Airport Restrooms As a Means Of Bonding

^^hahahahaha!!

At the rate I'm going, I think I'll get a 5 in AP Senioritis...

this thread is the only thing that took my mind off getting into college! thanks for the comic relief, everyone
