Curious...

Hi there! I just happened to stumble upon this forum and was curious what ya'll thought my chances would be. Keep in mind while looking at this that I'm a really bad test taker and have fairly bad test anxiety.

GPA: 3.9899 Unweighted (School does not weight)
Rank: 6/288
SAT (old): 720V 680M (Best of both sessions)
SATs: None yet
ACT: 31

Courseload:

Honors Classes: Honors Sophmore Lit (9th grade: A/A), Honors Trig (9th grade: A/A), Honors Precal (10th grade B+/A)

AP Classes: AP World History (9th grade A/A), AP US History (10th grade A/A), AP English Literature (10th grade A/A), AP Physics (10th grade A/A), AP English Language (11th grade A/A), AP Government (11th grade A/A), AP Calculus BC (11th grade A/A)

Senior Year I'm going to be taking Multivariable Calculus and a series of Community College classes because I don't really have AP classes left except the other science ones.

EC's:

Theatre- This is my major commitment. I put in 300-400 hours per show. I was in the pit orchestra, tried acting, and then found my place as a techie. All tech hours count as community service so I have 1000+. I am in every show and do a lot of work on the side as well.

Band- I've been in this since 9th grade and play flute. I'm also in lessons for flute but I'm not drop dead amazing.

Jazz Band- I've been in this since 9th grade and play trombone.

Marching Band- I was drum major this year.

Teaching Academy- This is actually a class but sort of operates as a strange EC. I spend two hours a day, three days a week interning in a classroom.

Work: I hold a five hour a week job as the head of the preschool department of my church.

Okay, so those are my stats. I think I'd do well at most types of schools, although I do have an interest in LACs. I think the Ivies are way out of my league, and am really unsure exactly what my league is. Any help would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

O_O [Bows down to you] You have good stats. I believe you would do well in the SAT IIs anyway. :] LACS? I believe you could get in! Goodluck!

Schools with comparable selectiveness as say UCSD for instate students would be matches for you. If want to aim higher, get those SAT scores up.
