so, what is the consensus...what does everyone think will happen since they have cut the deferred apps from mid-500 to mid-100? do you think the admit rate will still be ~10%?

?? i'm actually really curious about this...

yeah im curious too. i guess i would have thought the rate would go up, but with the increase in apps for RD...im not so sure

bbummmmppppppppp

As this is the first year of Ms. Laskaris' new approach, all you can get here is guesses.

None of us know exactly what the approach is. Has she courtesy wait listed all legacies, kids from feeder schools and "friends" of Dartmouth as usual? If she has, I wouldn't expect many more deferred getting in than in the past. If she created a list of those the college is genuinely interested in, maybe the percent will go up.

Suggest y'all read Michelle Hernandez' book which goes into detail on the psyche of re-reading deferreds.

mid 100 deferred applicants worldwide? Really??
Some hope is left.

Where did you get those figures from? (mid 100)

they deferred 9%, so maybe she calculated that

umm.. where did you get the 9% stat from? That'd be helpful.

dartmouth released it a while ago? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/dartmouth-college/639660-only-9-deferred.html?highlight=deferred
