I've been trying to find a current acceptance rate, but the most recent I can find(31.9%), is from 2012. Given that applications are up significantly from then(and I would assume yield is as well), is there a reason why they haven't published a more current number? Assuming a 20.6% yield rate(found on parchment.com from the 2011-12 cycle, not sure how reliable that is), and 2,800 in the freshman class, their acceptance this year should have been somewhere around 27%(2,800/.206=13592 acceptances/49,800 apps(I'll edit this with the exact number when I find it) = 27.2%). Given that this is quite a bit lower than their published rate, is there a reason why they don't publish it? One would think that it can only benefit them to have a lower rate, although I'm not an expert by any means.

NEU has one of the lower yields so that explains the acceptance rate being in the low 30s with so many applications-yield was 21% in 2011/12 and the last two years 19%-I can’t imagine the school is pleased with that?
