Also, someone once told me that that’s a plus because it needs geographic diversity? Is that true?</p>
<p>I don’t know for sure, but I do know that NYU is a non-impacted school so they don’t prefer New York applicants more than others</p>

<p>Yes, that’s somewhat true. If you live in a state with a very low amount of NYU applicants, it could help you slightly in the admissions process.</p>
