I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to ship your belongings to your dorm before you move in...
The residence halls would be overburdened in no time.

I've received my eFAN, but my scholarship is not listed. What does that mean?

It's possible that financial aid has yet to process your application. Or perhaps your financial aid packet is being reevaluated and it's just a matter of time before the funds are credited to your account. Contact the financial aid office for specific concerns or check URSA.

So once our scholarship sponsors send the money to our accounts will our eFANs be adjusted? (I still have a scholarship that I haven't claimed yet.)

is the cap for one quarter 19 units?
and how many units are needed to graduate?

19 units; for more you have to request permission.

180 units to graduate unless you're in HSSEAS.

^yes, unless you petition for more.

you need a minimum of 180

If you're an Engineering major, the minimum number of units to graduate can be anywhere from 182 (Computer Science) to 206 (Chemical Engineering: Semiconductor Manufacturing option).

thanks guys

ok so you can go over the 180 right?

o btw, im a history major/poli sci minor.

Yes you can go over 180.

They'll give you a handbook at orientation with information about what your GE requirements are, how many units you need to satisfy those requirements, and what courses you'll need for your major, etc. etc.

Only leet Bruins can go over 180. ;)

jason.. we're twins. what made you decide on that combo?

But the maximum is 216 without petitioning...

Yeah, but there's a hidden bylaw that says you have to be leet.

:p

There is such an obscene lack of sarcasm comprehension in this thread.

if I petition to go over 216, what are the chances that it will be granted>?

Honestly? Very very very low.

Most students who are allowed to exceed 216 units are double majors...
They don't need a petition to do so, however.

ap units allow you to go way over the cap.

Well, not really. It doesn't mean that you can take more classes at UCLA (except for the units saved from calc, engcomp, and other stuff that you can actually pass out of). It's basically there to prevent empty AP credit units from screwing you over.
