hey to all you current cornell students out there...

just for my info i was just wondering at what your high school stats were
like sat I and IIs, ACTs, courses you took, the grades in those courses, extracurriculars, ap exams, calss ranking and whatever you think helped you get in...
THANKSS!

you shouldn't look at stats. stats are meaningless because even if you have good stats, you aren't gauranteed a safety net. because usually those who get in with a certain stat, as many as another half of those with the same stats get rejected.

yea you're right....but im still thinkn that theres that little something that can kind of help the application

anyway...i was lookin at the stats and everyone who got accepted had at least like a 1300 on their sats so if ppl say that sats arent the key to acceptance i think its bull

there's nothing magic about cornell admissions. if you don't have good gpa and SAT you're unlikely to get in to the traditional schools at cornell. Cornell just has a reputation for being more wholistic in it's approach to deciding than many more exclusively numbers driven schools.

SATs matter a lot in the traditional colleges, don't kid yourself. Just because GPA might be more important doesn't mean SAT is not important. One admissions officer summed up the SAT situation in general as the SAT
"counting less than you think and more than colleges are willing to admit."
