<p>I don't want to start another "chances" thread because, well we can't expect you to know exactly how you got in. Instead... in order to fufill the curiosity of us high school students, by any chance can you tell us what your stats were like. Can you tell us the EC activities you did, GPAs, SAT scores, and anything else that you thought might have had an impact on your acceptance. </p>
<p>Truely if I were you I would rather respond to this than a students stats... I mean with this then we can evaluate ourselves... without further help.</p>

<p>The averages are available online. Cornell is a competitive school but not so competitive that you can't be deficient in one aspect of your app and still get in. I had quite poor EC's (HS newspaper, a couple of clubs, 100 or so volunteer hours) and probably so-so rec's. I wasn't offered an interview by Cornell (even after I requested one at one of their applicant functions) but was accepted probably because I had good academic stats: 1550 SAT I, 800, 800, 780 SAT II, 3.98 UW, 5's on every AP test I ever took.</p>
