Hi everyone. I’m a student at a Canadian university. I’m currently doing prerequisite courses for U of M and I’d say I’ve been doing okay with A’s, B+'s and a two B’s. I love Science… I hate Math.
There is a 3-credit hour prerequisite for Math, and I was not going to take Calc I but I got sucked in because it said it was recommended, and hearing from others, I thought it would be okay. It was not okay. I should have learned once I failed my first midterm, hell I even failed my second midterm, and I’m pretty damn sure I failed this final. My high school education in Pre-Cal did little to prepare me…
From last semester, I probably have around a 3.8 GPA from those courses… I’m pretty sure I failed Calculus I. What are my chances of getting into dental school? How do I even fix this… do I just take it again and hope for the best? I think if I took it again I’d do better for sure, I just want to know how detrimental this F will be on my transcript and is it a big “Hell no!” for interviewers?
