<p>As ED decision time rolls around, do any of you current/former students care to share your acceptance stories? We hear plenty of qualified candidates being rejected, but how about those who were genuinely pleasantly surprised by their acceptances?</p>

<p>Decided during summer after HS soph year to apply ED as HS junior for the hell of it, took my SAT/SAT II on the last possible dates in Oct/Nov, went online on Dec 15, 6PM, saw Congratulations as first word. Jumped up, did a fist pump, my parents were walking in the door right at that moment, I went to the top of the stairs, called down and said “I’m in”, then we went out and celebrated. Don’t remember rest of HS. </p>
<p>Looking back, Duke acceptance was way more exciting than med school acceptance so cherish it.</p>
