Other comments on columbia: It's awesome! I lub Columbia. If only it will love me back...

If I was accepted on Dec. 15th, I'd stop breathing momentarily I think. Then I'd force myself to breathe again because in order to attend Columbia in the fall, I need to be alive and breathin'. Then I would run around my house screaming "I"m IN! I'm IN!", then tell the entire world. Then I would probably jump around a little more. I have trouble sitting still when I'm excited. I would probably have a huge, broad grin for the rest of the day, and probably at school the next day too. Sigh It's nice to dream.

zipcode, i just was staying at columbia last weekend on a swimming recruit trip and met a lot of canadians. you'd be in good company.

Okay this is totally random, but is anyone else really p.o'ed at the NYTimes "timeselect" thing? I love Kristof, Krugman, and Friedman's op-ed (Dowd is really entertaining too), but I don't think I'm willing to shell out the $40 to read them online. Maybe if Safire was still on board, but it's still a stretch.

Oh well...moving to LATimes op-ed and more towards CSMonitor's stuff. NYTimes, I will never forgive you.

so i've been reading the other boards for columbia and has anyone else realized that the people here are WAAAAY too sensative?? People are getting seriously fired up over tiny misunderstandings and little jokes. anyway, i'll probably get acosted for posting this so i'll stop...

zipcode, nice pair of fav classes lol, almost like mine (drama/calc), if we both get in I've got to meet you.

unstirred fondue: that's always good to hear. not surprising either, since i'm not even the only canadian on this thread! (lynda :))

lynda: i like your fav classes too ;). some people think i'm wierd for liking calculus...but they're missing out, lol.

anyways, i agree. i think that if (i mean, WHEN) we're accepted, we should all have a big get together at Columbia where we meet our fellow CC'ers during the accepted student day thing. Just a CC party :D.
I think the yale board tried that last year, but apparently it didn't work so well. But this year, we'll make it work. we're better than them anyway :P
now, to just get accepted...

i am definatly for this.

So am I. Maybe we someone should make like a College Confidential meeting table on registration day. Good luck on getting in to everyone.

lol hell ya we'll make it happen "when" we get in (pray much?)

let's all wear College Confidential t-shirts and and hold big signs with eachothers cc names on them, like people at the airport. Then we can huddle in the middle of campus and sing/chant and reminisce about the CC days.

Other comments on columbia: I wish I could go to Columbia...

If I were accepted on Dec. 15, I would yell as loud as I could and go get Jamba Juice. Then I would thank my teachers and my Wrestling coach for everything, and afterwards, do nothing. Oh, I'll also apply for a motorcycle license and save up for a Ducati! After that, I'll go visit my girlfriend at Stanford. Haha.

er.... your gf's at stanford and you are going to east coast? lol.... thats nice.

as for the meeting up thing, with a face book and a set location (maybe not on the first day some eveyrone's gona be getting used to the place) I dont see why we cant do it .

Is anyone else going to Columbia's open house at the Lamont-Doherty observatory on October 1?

I went to the open house at the morningside campus a few weeks ago, it was great, i really loved it!
