hmm.. can anyone in NY give some information about IB schools in that area? thought there'd be a few since IBNA's office is in NY.

I live in NY, and I'm not exactly sure what an IB school is. Is an IB test like an AP test? I've never seen review books for IB tests, so that's probabley why I don't know.

IB classes aer like AP classes, but IB diploma includes alot of stuff outside of classes. the reason there arnt any IB review books is IB style of testing is not very systematic, they are more random in terms of questions and IB's relatively new to NA comparing to AP.

"let's all wear College Confidential t-shirts and and hold big signs with eachothers cc names on them, like people at the airport. Then we can huddle in the middle of campus and sing/chant and reminisce about the CC days."

hells yes.

p.s. we will know in about 10 weeks whether or not we're accepted ed at columbia. bahhh.

10 weeks.. seems so short!

(Ps: what if you get defered in dec?)

Guys! help! essays!
what do they want to hear? i actually have no idea. that's probably not a good thing. I wrote one and people have said nice things about it but those people aren't admissions officers. does anyone have any wonderful tips and secrets for essays?

its not what they want to hear.. its what you want to tell them. frankly I find myself wanting to put too much things into the essay and ending up being a big mess.. anyone else having the same problem?

yes!
how are you approaching the section where it asks "what do you find most appealing about columbia and why?" i wrote an essay that i realized won't fit in the provided space. do they just expect a short answer?

the good news is, i'm very independent when it comes to filling out college applications.
