How did your EC's look like during high school? What kind of things were you involved in? Did you have straight As all four years? What advice would you have to any students looking to apply to Harvard?
Thanks!

ECs: Quizbowl team captain, science bowl team, hebrew school, ranked nationally in a sport (though only put in 4-6 hours a week, so not that highly), worked at an extended day program at the local elementary school

I also liked playing video games, and went out with my friends on the weekend a lot.

I didn’t have straight A’s all four years. Mostly A’s, with a few A-'s and a B+, though my weighted GPA was above 4.0 with the AP classes factored in. I wasn’t a perfect student, but I knew what I needed to get done and did it. I also threw myself into the hardest classes offered at my school, and when I decided I didn’t want to do science senior year I replaced it with more AP’s in humanities.

Figure out what you’re interested in and pursue it. I took an extra class outside school in the subject I was interested in in 10th grade, and did a lot of reading outside class as well. Pick extra-curriculars that you will like and do well in, and just see where you end up.

Banjo, were you recuited for your sport? What’s your concentration?

I wasn’t recruited, though I received a likely from a different Ivy League school.
And I’m economics.

hmmm interesting. Well congrats! :D
