Current Junior: Chances of NYU STERN

<p>Hey I'm a current junior in high school and I would like to know my chances of getting into NYU Stern as an ED</p>

<p>Stats:</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA: 3.7 Weighted: 4.0 </p>

<p>AP: Chinese (5), Stats, Planning to take Calc AB and Eng Lit, Might self study Pysch and Human Geo</p>

<p>Leadership: Yearbook Sports Editor (10), Yearbook Organizations Editor/Business (11), Planning EIC (12); MSJ Key Club Publicity (9-11), Planning ASB AC/Treasurer (12), Planning MSJ DECA/SVDECA Officer Position (12), Internetting Family Teacher (9-10), Berkeley Academy Teacher (9-10)</p>

<p>Awards: MSJ Key Club Member of the Year (2013), Piano CML Advanced Level, Planning DECA FIDM Challenge 2015/2016</p>

<p>Other EC: Photography, Art/Design, Piano, JV Basketball (9) but suffered career ending injury in 10th grade :(</p>

<p>Teacher Recs: Planning to ask Yearbook teacher (also teaches 10,11,12 Eng) and English 11H Teacher</p>

<p>Your chances are pretty good considering your grades and leadership, from what I can tell although I only know 2 people who go there now. I am also hoping to get into Stern class of 2020 :slight_smile: The only thing I would tell you is that I know for a fact that their financial aid is horrible, even the need-based. Other than that though I definitely think you could get accepted! </p>

<p>That sounds awesome :slight_smile: My family in China will hopefully fund me so not receiving sufficient FA isn’t a big problem. See you there in Fall 2016 haha</p>

<p>I think your GPA is a little on the low side (NYU states at their info sessions that they look for about a 3.85 unweighted) so I might try to get your grades up a little bit, but overall, I wouldn’t stress about it because your SATs are slightly in the upper range and you’ve got some hooks.</p>
