I am a student at Lawrenceville, I'm sure many of you who applied to boarding school may have questions? feel free to ask me them and I'll be happy to answer them.

how strong is the tennis team?

Are the academics really intensive?

how is the social life?

could you give me an idea of how is a typical day at lawrenceville?(what time the classes starts and ends, how many classe per day, hours of homework, hours of sports and clubs…)

@Planck101 - The Lawrenceville boys tennis team is very strong. This year their senior captain couldn’t play so results dropped, but next year they’ll have two new players (incoming 9th and 10th graders) who are very strong, one being a national top 10 player. BTW I am parent of an incoming Lville student and my kid plays tennis.

@planck101 regarding tennis, I would say exactly what Prosparent said, the team is very strong. The academics are as strong as you would imagine any prep school to be. It is hard and time consuming at times, but I never find myself too overwhelmed with work. You will always have consultation periods so when something is confusing or you want to review things, you’re free to see your teacher one on one every day. The social life is good, there is always a dance or another social event Saturday night. You will be pretty busy during the week with work and sports, but you will have plenty of time on the weekend to hangout with friends.

Also, classes will start anywhere from 8 to 9:40 depending on your schedule, and what day of the week it is. Classes always end at 3:05 and sports practice starts at 3:30. On Wednesdays and Saturdays it is a half day, so you will be done school by lunch time. Practices are usually around 2 hours long, depending on your sport. I usually have about 2 to 3 hours of homework a night. If you manage time well, you could have less.

Is it possible to practice tennis during the fall?

And how works that thing of taking classes at Princeton?

Does anyone know how is the science or math club? Is it active? What they do? Do they self study?

Oh and thanks you all!!

Oh and thanks you all!!

yes, you can play through the fall in your free time. There is also an exemption option, so if you regularly get tennis lessons you may be able to get that passed and not have a sport commitment for a term.

Thanks abd what about the other questions :)
