Current Nd Students

I was out driving yesterday and I passed the ND closeout shop and it looks like once again it is open selling all those bookstore leftovers. This is a great opportunity to buy Christmas gifts for family and friends (assuming I am right and it is open). Is anyone interested in going? I can drive if there is interest, you will just have to forgive the trash in my car :(. Let me know if there is interest.

FWIW, last year I got a Chris Thomas basketball jersey for more than 80% off.

Hi Irish..where is this closeout shop? Very nice of you to offer transportation to students. We will be on campus and might take our son there.

Is this in the same strip mall as Martin's? Is it good stuff?

It isn't in the same strip mall but it isn't far from Martins. It is down the street across from the McDonalds if that helps at all (I forget the name of the street).

It is actually run by the bookstore and it is all the stuff that was in the bookstore but hasn't been selling so they mark it down a lot just to get rid of it. Last time I was there they even had Ty Willingham Return to Glory tapes for a buck, lol. Somethings like that you may not want, but for cheap sweatshirts and what not, good place to be.

I am all about cheap sweatshirts :)

Wow that great.... Ya' Mike Ill take you up on your offer...
Can you pick me up?.... Im just down the street..... I'll mapquest it for you

hmm.... looks like

Does this store have a website?

Anyhooooo
Im trying to buy a basketball jersey and i neeed some input

Should I got with A.

<a href="http://irishfanshop.com/ad2nabaje.html%5B/url%5D">http://irishfanshop.com/ad2nabaje.html</a></p>

or B

<a href="http://irishfanshop.com/ad2whbaje.html%5B/url%5D">http://irishfanshop.com/ad2whbaje.html</a></p>

thnks

I would definitely be interested in going. Not sure if I will need a ride or not since my parents will be in town next weekend. If they can drive me, specific directions would be good. My mom just gave me the master list of Christmas presents that I have to buy for all the relatives...part two. Just as I thought I'd covered most of the first list...lol. Thanks so much!

@ chillin til 08, I like the white one, because it has a shamrock :).

Thanks for teh opinion shellzie.. this is a very important decision

Go with A.

I just like the logo better.

I don't think Notre Dame basketball jerseys have that cursive writing for "Irish."

<a href="http://www.simplyawesome.com/images/sports/lebronJjersIrish.jpg%5B/url%5D">http://www.simplyawesome.com/images/sports/lebronJjersIrish.jpg</a></p>

I think this writing looks much better.

I apologize for using James's jersey as an example.

I can't quite now but remind me or get in touch Shellzie and I will let you know where it is.

Also, unfortunately no website but if you let me know what you want I may be able to help you out depending...

hmmm... I'm really just lookn for a jersey... can that store ship items?

Irish we drove by the store and I talked with the staff at the bookstore and this is a real gem. Hats are sold for .99, what a great place for Christmas gifts.

It is huge store and fellow Domers will LOVE it.

Limited hours - Tues - Thursday. The sign posted on the door read:
Closed 23, Open 24 and 25th (10-4:00).

Thanks for a heads up on the hours :). I may go over there this weekend!

Tell me more, South Jersey mom! What kind of stuff do they have there? I'm looking for a nice quality sweatshirt; the kind I look at in the big bookstore, until I see the $60 price tag.

My son apparently has regular access to a vehicle (such openness concerns me if and when we send a car up with him next year, but that's another story). Is this something even a reluctant 19 year-old doing it only because his mother nagged him can navigate? Do they have people there that can guide the fashion clueless?

I think sweatshirts were in the $25 range but I could be wrong; it has been a year. It isn't too hard to find but unfortunately (at least when I was there) the couple of people aren't very helpful. You are on your own finding what you want, but it is worth the prices.

Will this store be open in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas break? So tired of the monopoly that is the Hammes Bookstore. Still gotta have the Irish apparel.

???

yes, as I understand it, but with limited hours. The staff at Hammes help run that store and know all about it. Ask them for details, they were very helpful last weekend
