My son will be attending NC State for his Goodnight Scholar Interview in a couple of weeks. Are there any Current or Past Goodnight Scholars with tips or insight from their experience with this important day?
Tried to delete this one…sorry for the double thread
Well…I guess everyone is under orders to be fairly hush hush. My son arrived yesterday & incase this is still up, next year…
Don’t stress about it. My son was a bit worried until he got there and then he was fine <3 The interview won’t be about anything you can’t answer. Just be yourself. I know vague, right?
Now
Questions I have as a parent
If my son gets in & he gets honors college & he’s already in engineering college…
- which dorms, honors or engineering or?
- would honors college, goodnight scholars & engineering college, be to much? We want him to enjoy every opportunity, but we don’t want him to burn out or have grades suffer, due to to many extras…
Hi! If your son was fortunate to be selected as a Goodnight Scholar finalist, then I know that he won’t have any trouble with being in Honors, Goodnight, and Engineering. Many Goodnight scholars are deeply involved in all 3 colleges, and still have plenty of time and ambition to be involved in other activities and organizations at NC State. As a student who does all 3, these programs help create solid connections throughout college and assist in discovering new STEM and social interests!
So sorry for the late response. I know the decisions for the Goodnight Scholars Program are already out, but I hope your son was accepted and considers NC State!
