oh ok…so if none of the APs are in your core requirements then AP credits are essentially useless?

most of mine have been =(

Pretty much. They can sometimes place you out of an intro course though but then you need to take the next course in the sequence.

Are you responsible for changing light bulbs in your room, including the main ceiling light?

nope not for the ones that come with your room

if you bring your own lamp and it has non-standard light bulbs, then yes

Are you responsible for changing light bulbs in your room, including the main ceiling light?

hahahhahahhaahaa

i don’t know why you think that’s funny. it’s a practical question. i mean if you have to buy your own toilet paper who knows???

question: when are classes over at penn? at least this year?

this should help with that

Thank you!!!

Hey,

I was invited to this program and I know a common question has always been if it’s suited for someone who’s taking a Pre-Med track. I know it’s going to be more in-depth coursework than normal Pre-Med majors but I’m interested in knowing how much more and any suggestions you have for me.

still lolzin bout the lightbulbs.

What are the regulations for wallspace? Thumb tacks? Tape? Sticky-tac?

How easy is it to get into the classes you want? Or do lots of people get shut out?

wallspace is generally non-destructive (no holes in walls) stuff, though people have done staples and tacks before

and as for classes, it depends on what you want and when - generally speaking if you need to be in a class, you can find a way in, and proper prioritization with advance registration is your friend

Can you paint your walls? There’s a video of Harrison college house and both rooms shown have such pretty walls but I doubt they came that way…

Also, is there a bring your own mug, environmentally friendly policy at Commons 1920?

Thank you!!!

no, and possibly?

Thanks. What I meant with the second question is do you have to do the BYOM thing for Commons 1920? I’m pretty sure that Gregory House has you do that policy but I didn’t apply there…

quick question: did we have free time during the Int’l Student Orientation or normal freshmen orientation to open bank accounts, get credit cards, buy cell phones/furniture…etc? Do you think its a good idea to arrive at Philly a few days before the orientation? thanks :)

^^ That is a good question that I would love to have answered.

Hm…I would recommend arriving a day or two early to take care of that stuff. There is some down time, but for me anyway, I was always out meeting and hanging out with people. ISO doesn’t have that much free time…the day is pretty packed.
