Current Penn students: please help me

hey guys,
i have a question about AP exams…i have seen the website that shows how much credit you get for each exam (and score)…however, i am not sure how certain things will work…whether i will get out of a requirement with a certain test or whether the credit i receive will only help me if i MAJOR in that subject…if possible, let me know how to contact your (through here or email/aim), and i will realllly appreciate the help

thanks (in advance),
leo

by the way, i have to turn in the money for the exams by this friday (the 25th i believe)....o yea, i forgot to mention that i was accepted into huntsman ED (this is why penns ap policy is the only one that concerns me)

Also, if I have AP lang, should I bother taking Ap Lit. I know it's 1 C.U. per semester; so would the AP Lit credit get me out of the 2nd semester's Eng. class?

what are the tests in question?

Same position as dostoyevsky here Bern700 my tests in question are:

Statistics

AP U.S.

LIt (I got a 5 on lang)

Spanish Language (i'm in the hunts for Spanish but liek I dont' know if the span will do anythign for me since I'll probalby start higher thanteh class it gives me credit for?)

Chemistry

And I really dont' want to take Chem, Lit, or AP US

Stats: 5 will give you 1 C.U. (for 111)
US Hist: 5 will give you 1 C.U. (for 042)
Spanish: 4 you pass your language proficiency requirement but no credit
5 will give you 1 C.U. (for 210)
English (Language & Lit): 5 on either gives you one C.U. under one of the different general requirements/or electives however, it doesnt fill the writing requirement (so you still have to take writing)
Chemistry: 5 gives you 1 C.U. (for 091)

so technically if you got 5s on all you would have 6 C.U., you'd pass out of the language requirement, but you'd still have to take writing. These 6 C.U. could be used probably under electives and MAYBE general requirements.

anything that says waiver means that you dont get a credit. Rather you are just exempt from the class and can take an elective (e.g. psychology, econ1, econ2).

well...i have chem 5 macro 5 and us hist 5....i CAN take calc BC, micro, psych, euro, eng lang, eng lit....i already KNOW that i will take calc and micro (and NOT psych)....do you think i should take euro and/or eng lang/lit?

thank you!

well you're in huntsman right?
ok definitely take Calc and Micro! With BC you wont have to take the class of death - Math104!!!!! With micro you can just get the waiver and start some of the business core. psych is probably not worth it, unless you plan on doing a psych major and just want to get psych1 out of the way. Euro/Lang/Lit are all up to you they will count as electives...so it's up to you.

Stats: 5 will give you Stat101, which is a Wharton req - you'll still have to take 102 though

US Hist: 5 gives you Hist042 which doesn't do anything for you (only get SS&H credit in Eng, not Wharton - maybe fills a free elective)

Chem: 5 gives you Chem091, which may give you Gen Ed in the college, but for sure in the Wharton Gen Ed (science&tech)

for Econ001, and Econ002, sure you get a waiver if you're wharton, but that means you can substitute them with ANY free elective

also note that if you plan to do an Econ major in the college, those waivers in Econ001 and Econ002 turn into credits once you decalre your major

so should i take euro/lit/lang???

will i get credits for these?

will i get out of requirements for these?

btw, i AM in Huntsman '09

thanks for the responses

aaahhh...the moneyh is due tomorrow....help please
