I got assigned cardinal gardens but i want a more classic college dorm experience wtih freshman. I am going to fill out a reassignment form and was wondering which of the more traditional freshman dorms i could possibly get lucky and get due to someone dropping or something. i have 3 choices...

im considering.....trojan hall, paradee, marks tower, webb tower, new/north

What exactly are you asking? It is not possible to predict when or where someone will get reassigned and where you are on the reassignment list. Each of those has over 200 beds available and chances are over time more than one bed will open up but I cannot say when you happen to get reassigned what building you will get.

Based on stats, do not pick webb as it is always one of the most requested. New/north is pretty high up too. Go for trojan hall, pardee, marks tower. You’ll have a higher chance with those because they’re requested less (but still decent fun), but they’re probably all full currently. Good luck!

i have trojan hall, marks tower…now for 3rd one should i put pardee, webb, or marks hall? marks hall is least popular but mainly for freshman right? which would be best chance for me as a transfer?

ok i got webb tower! webb is mostly freshman right? im a transfer but im going to be a freshman and dont want to live with people who are like 25 and have kids or weird stuff like that. i just want normal freshman freinds …

with webb being residential, it should be more social this year right? at least mroe than cardinal gardens?

This year, Webb will be mostly freshman. What exactly do you mean with Webb being residential? The level of socialness depends on the residents and the RA and how social everyone wants to be. I cannot predict how social Webb will be because this is the first year that freshman are living there and the composition of people changes each year.
That being said, apartment or suite style tends to be less social due to the nature of the layout. You must enter the apartment/suite first before you can physically make contact with someone.
I’m going to generalize but most freshman want to make friends when they arrive on campus so you shouldn’t have a problem. I lived in Webb as a sophomore and had a great time but I was living with people I already knew. You’ll be fine, and if its not social enough, join a club or organization or go greek or something, you’ll always find friends there.

great! thanks for the info. I was worried because i know that there are transfers who are like 30 and kids and i dont want to live with people like that beacuse im just not at that state of life…im young naive and just want to party and socialize ^_^

Choatecolate when did you submit your reassignment form? And We’re you notified of your reassignment yesterday? Im still waiting on my reassignment

o i c. Agree with WC. Webb should be good, but don’t depend on housing to make friends, it’s only one avenue of many. Also, transfers that “have kids or weird stuff like that” have separate family housing. And they’re nervous too because they’re ‘different’. Keep in mind that one great thing about college is hanging out with people of all different ages, types, and more.

College Confidential is assisting the OP of this thread, choatecolate, in being an internet predator.

The OP is a 24-year-old who has attended two other colleges and who intends to masquerade as a freshman at USC. He has stated (in a now-deleted post), in clear and vulgar language, that he intends to pursue 17 and 18 year old girls (this was meticulously documented in another now-deleted thread by docfreedaddy).

Unfortunately, College Confidential’s response to this predator is to DELETE docfreedaddy’s careful documentation, DELETE the OP’s most incriminating posts and threads, and ALLOW the OP to change his profile age from 24 to 18. The OP is now free to message and pursue incoming freshman girls on this forum thanks to College Confidential’s assistance.

College Confidential will now almost certainly delete THIS post to assure that this predator may continue his activities on their forum.

What Alamemom indicates above is unfortunately true. Choatecolate has indicated in previous posts he attended two prior universities, has 60 transferring credits and is a new transfer student. Now he indicates above he is a returning USC student. He has also indicated he is an entering freshman.

Of concern is that in other posts he emphasizes he wants to be placed with freshman and not 25 year olds. Many of his posts ask about parties and socializing and wanting to do all the “tee he he” freshman things when he arrives this year. He listed his age on cc as 24 until I asked how he can be a 24 year old freshman having been a freshman at one (and possibly two) colleges while amassing 60 units. In response, he changed his age on cc to 18 years old two days ago.

One comment he made to a poster deliberating between USC and Notre Dame is that “at USC you can have sex with beautiful girls and ND ugly girls”. He has indicated he is pursuing study in Public Relations with a minor in management consulting-environmental sciences. If anyone knows who this person is, please bring him to the attention of USC housing and admissions. He does seem to be a predator and a disturbed individual who freely changes his story. USC would benefit from the opportunity to review carefully and authenticate his application information, as well as take measures to protect its students.

Oops, sorry. I misread choatecolate’s post. He only states in various posts that he is an incoming freshman and an incoming transfer with 60 credits who attended two prior colleges/universities. He did list his age as 24 on cc. then changed it to 18 when he was questioned about it. He has been focused in his posts on being placed in a dorm with freshmen and mentions the value of USC for having sex with beautiful USC girls, presumably freshman girls.

Does anyone know who this is? If so, please bring him to the attention of USC admissions and housing. A 24 year old wanting to be placed in a dorm with freshman with the intent of having sex needs some follow-up from USC. Would you want him in your dorm? At the least, he likely needs some counseling assistance; most certainly a thorough review by USC of his admission records and comments on cc.
