<p>Ok so my top choice school is UCSD, and I really really want in that school. The only think holding me back is my SAT scores. Is it possible to raise my scores to 2000 or more? I barely studied at all for my second time and it went up 200 points. But now I want to really study and raise it 400 or more points. Please help, this means a lot to me to get into this school for personal reasons. Any suggestions and strategies would be great.</p>

<p>I started at a 1660 on my PSAT(no studying) got an 1820 on my first SAT(no studying) and went up to a 1920 after studying. Now I’m going for a 2100. </p>

<p>definitely. i raised my score from a 1940 to a 2390 from june-october. just take a crap load of practice tests and have a study schedule. i personally took a class, but if you make a study schedule and systematically attack the SAT, it’ll pretty much be the same thing as a class and i’m sure you’ll see improvement</p>
<p>though without a class it requires much more personal effort to acquire improvement if you aren’t the most motivated of people</p>

<p>Alright BroDudeMan, but you had the whole summer vacation to study. with a 1620 I’d aim for a more realistic score…1850</p>
<p>I don’t think you realize that when I’m determined, I will get it. I’m going to study a minimum of 2 hours a day and make that score get as close to 2000 as possible.</p>
<p>I am in same boat as you. Took the test this October and got 1480 overall. Now I am aiming for 1900. I think it’s not that hard. Before the test, I had not done any practice test at all. Now I got plenty of tests with a detailed answers(Almost 15). And I bought some prep book published by private investigators. People say, let’s be realistic. But I think raising your your score by 400 in one month is REAL thing. Good luck, I am looking for some good tips in this thread.</p>
