What up,

I'm bored and remember refreshing CC constantly around admissions season last year. This site was pretty useful for me, so I suppose I'll give back now. Ask me anything about stern, nyu, or whatever you want, and I'll do my best to answer!

Some stats, if you care:
High School GPA: 9.1/11 unweighted (between a 3.2 and a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale). Major upward trend.
School Style: Boarding Prep (Exeter, hence why I was able to pull off Stern with those grades)
SAT I: 2330: 800W (11E), 760 CR, 770M
ACT: Didn't take
SAT II: 750 MII, 770 MI, 670 Chem, 690 Lit
AP: Micro and Macro (4), Bio (5), Lang & Comp (5). All four were taken after I was admitted to NYU, senior spring.
High school EC's: Football (varsity with no intention of playing in college), parli debate (used to do MT/MUN but preferred debate), writer/editor for the school newspaper (oldest HS paper in the country), student council dorm representative, a few other smaller clubs

Current School: Stern '17. I applied to BPE but didn't get it (and super glad that I didn't; I know a bit more about the program than most people on CC are going to, so feel free to ask away)
FA: Not applicable. Small merit scholarship from my mom's job. Loans.
Chose between: Stern, UNC Chapel Hill, Mich, Wesleyan
Why I chose Stern: Decided that I wanted to do undergrad business. Didn't like Wesleyan when I visited. Stern > Kenan Flagler, and while Stern and Ross are basically equal, I liked the idea of 1. being in NYC and 2. being in a bschool for all four years (as opposed to ross, where you start in LSA). I also got denied preadmit to ross and wanted to be certain I would be in a business program
College ECs: NYU Parliamentary Debate Union, NYU Local (haven't gotten super involved in Stern clubs yet but I plan on it). Will likely go for one of the business frats at some point (AKPsi or BAP, not sure yet), but I don't know a ton about either yet.
Classes I'm taking right now: Calc I in CAS, Statistics + Regression Forecasting Models ("6-credit stats") in Stern, Latin American Global Cultures in LSP, Commerce and Culture in Stern
GPA: Final grades aren't out yet, but my freshman fall is going to be somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4.0. I'm expecting around a 3.7 (if you care, Dean's List at stern is a 3.6+)
