<p>@applegiant: The response after yours gives you statistics to look at. I wouldn’t say that students of color isolate themselves if they are domestic students. International students often do, but that isn’t to say that they aren’t friendly or have friends who live in the US! It’s all up to you, really. The dating scene is pretty good. I know numerous people who are in relationships, and I also know the hookup culture is pretty big with some people. Again, it’s a matter of personal preference which you choose.</p>
<p>@rorror45: Your stats are not fantastic, which you seem to acknowledge, but if you are applying ED then your chances go up. I’d recommend doing an interview and making sure that your essay and teacher recommendations are really strong. If you haven’t visited yet, try! If you don’t think you can afford it, try to make arrangements with the school. They have definitely given reimbursements for travel costs to prospective students in the past. That would help your application. Good luck on your SATs, and maybe consider the ACTs as well? Just a thought, not necessary.</p>
