Hi! I am a UC Santa Cruz hopeful and just want to know where I stand among accepted students! If you wouldn't mind posting your GPA, SAT scores, and/or extra-curriculars, that would be great! Thanks!

i’m out of state so my gpa needed to be higher, but i had a 3.8 and got an 1830 on the SATs. i only did one varsity sport in high school, but i was captain my last year. i also was on an all-star team for that sport. other than that i was yearbook editor, belonged to two clubs, and i have a part-time job.

i took honors and ap classes all four years but since they weren’t california approved, i had to count all my honors classes as regular, which sucked but came out to be okay in the end, apparently. and i didn’t pass two of the three ap exams i took… which also sucks haha.

This looks like it has everything you’re asking for, and it’s from this year.

P.S., pay no attention to stats from people on this site alone, the only people who post their stats here are (alleged) 4.0s with near perfect SATs who win Nobel Prizes and cure cancer in their spare time, they aren’t a reflection of reality.

I have a 3.96 weighted total
1960 SAT
32 ACT

3’s and 4’s on my APs

But the thing is I never got into extra-curriculars I did do community service for 60 hours which isn’t too much
I took dance for 8 years but quit freshman year
Did two clubs

4.3 weighted
1900 SAT 33 ACT
AP: 4 on physics B 2 on Calc AB Calc BC pending

ec: Robotics club and swimming, and of course threw in some bs.

got into some better schools like UCLA, but tbh it was most likely because of my essays.
jojo work on your essays like your life depends on it, and you can get into almost any school you want, start early, fiddle with it everyday, get insight from professionals, it really does help.

Will be attending this fall as a transfer student.

Stats during the 2 years I spent at a CC:

GPA: 3.64 (3.51 before this past spring semester, which was the GPA used to evaluate me)

Hardly any extra curriculars. I had about 70 hours of community service back in high school.

SAT scores from 2-3 years ago: 1920.

As a transfer student from a community college:

I have a 3.5 over all college g.p.a. I had a 3.8 until I hit the harder science major classes like chemistry (B’s really do bring you down which sucks). I’ve been in good standing and on the dean’s list my entire college career so far (I have been at a CC for four years, due to switching from a fire fighting major to a biological sciences major, which set me back two years). As for extracurricular activities, I worked 40 hours a week at a restaurant, I did 20 hours a week as a personal trainer. For volunteering extracurricular activities, I coached track and cross country for my old high school team, ran a blanket drive for project cuddle, volunteered at a pharmacy, and a gym. I also helped rehabilitate a brain injured teacher with my friend who was the psychology club president. I was also apart of honors transfer and alpha gamma sigma club (community service club).

And, even though it didn’t matter in my admissions decision, in high school i had an overall 3.7 gpa (highschool is too easy). My freshman year of highschool I was a little lost and doing the wrong things, which is why my GPA was down. I didn’t work or volunteer. No SAT’s or AP courses because I thought I was going into the fire department. But, I was varsity track and cross country for three years, which was cool. Went to CIF, and taught me a lot. I won a ton of medals for both sports.

My stats arn’t that impressive since a lot of other people have way higher stats. But I bet you have a chance of getting in, you’ll be fine! Don’t compare yourself to others because there will always be someone better than you out there so it’s never a good idea.
