Current students: Best classes at Penn?

Hi guys, I know we have a while until we select courses but I thought this would be a nice opportunity for current students to share some of their thoughts on classes at penn.

What classes did you enjoy the most? Which classes did you find easiest/hardest? Any favourite professors? Do you have any course recommendations for freshman students?

Looking forward to all the feedback! =)

AstonMartin,
The site is great to know but for freshmen Pennkey is only issued when they get into school which course selection is over.
They need some guidance before they got the Pennkey

don’t we get our pennkeys later in the month?

Man, I wish Kal Penn was still teaching at Penn, then that Asian American minority studies class would automatically be the best.

CURSE YOU OBAMA!

I’d definitely look into the freshman seminars, as they offer a great chance to interact with profs in a small classroom setting. I took 2 seminars, one with Dr. Heather Sharkey and one with Dr. Jonathon Moreno, and loved both courses (Sharkey teaches courses related to the Middle East, while Moreno is a bioethicist) I’m not sure if either are teaching in the fall, but if they are and you’re interested in those areas, I’d look into them.
