I'm a transfer applicant, who is still waiting to hear back, but I have a random question. How good or bad is the Georgetown Dance Team? In others words, are they amazing or are they a joke? I can't really find any information on them, which kind of worries me.

There's multiple dance teams, not sure which you're referring to. There's Groove Theory which is a co-ed hip hop dance group. I've heard auditions are hard and you have to be pretty good to make it on. There's the Hoya Break Squad for breakdancing. Ballroom dancing is also big on campus. There is one organization that trains in ballroom dance and another that competes. I'm not too into dancing myself so there may even be more if you look into it..

I was talking about the Hoya Dance Team. They're supposed to perform at events around campus and at basketball games at stuff...

Think the Hoya Dance Team are the people who perform at halftime during certain basketball games. To be fair, I think they're pretty good. (Haven't seen them in a while due to being abroad). Don't know how competitive it is to get in, etc. though.

They are legit, as I think the tryouts are pretty tough and they practice a lot, but the GU Step Team and Groove Theory tend to steal the show compared to the Dance Team or cheerleaders.
