Just polling the site to see what current ND students have been doing this summer--summer job, internship, summer school at ND, or summer study abroad? Please comment!

I am writing this from the lab in which I'm working at OSU. I am a student researcher for the experimental cosmology group this summer.

I'm a laborer in NYC for my family construction management company. It's not glorious, the hours suck, and it's physically exhausted, but I can nearly guarantee I'm making more than most other college students home for the summer.

I am no longer a current student but I am just taking care of things at home this summer (if you remember my prayer request you know why). In past years I worked as a computer network administrator.

Irish - you're doing the most important job possible. Your Mom is still in all our prayers.

Yes, Irish you are still in our prayers--glad to see that you can be at home this summer--Keep your chin up!! And, Kevdude, I guess you will know that after that ND degree, construction is something you maybe don't want to do for the rest of your life? It's worthy work and I'm sure the extra cash will be a bonus this coming year! Any others??

Haha, funnily enough, construction is one of my major options after school - it's a family company that's been around since 1886, but I'd still start off low and work my way up, just a bit faster than other people.

Thank you all for your prayers I can't tell you how much I appreciate them!

I'm doing grounds-keeping work at a local golf course (big ditto on the work and horrible hours, then factor in the Mississippi sun). I'd like to get an internship in publishing next summer though.
