I know my GPA is too low for the Ivies... Can you guys help recommend some possible schools with good econ programs. I am looking at some LACs-- Out of 100, what are my chances at Wellesley (35% transfer rate), Smith, and Wesleyan.

I have an upward moving GPA even tho it is a 3.1... If I can get a 4.0 next semester what are my chances?

Other schools-- LAC or private- are welcome
Please help!

What don't you like about BU? anyway, my hs GPA is the same as yours, and for economics I'd choose between UMD-college park, University of Georgia (not sure), University of Texas at Austin, or Rutgers. i'll come back if i think of more.

hi gnrgurl, i was a freshman at BU this year and i'll be a sophomore transfer student at Wesleyan this fall. I was a Religion Major/Pre-dental at BU, and my gpa at BU when applying to transfer was a 3.5 but it fell to a 3.37 second semester. I didn't have anything going on at BU except for my grades (which weren't even amazing) and I got into all of the schools I applied to for transferring. So you've definitely got a shot at Wesleyan! I think Wes really paid attention to my essay and recommendations and didn't just analyze my numbers. Good luck
