<p>Already at UVA - unless you're applying as a 3rd year English major, you'll get in. You need, like, a 2.75 to get in. Not even kidding.</p>
<p>I'm not sure about tranfers though. The PGMT program is HIGHLY competitive - this year there are people from Cornell, etc, with challenging undergrad majors (sciencey ones) and that's for the elem ed program. I can't imagine the other ones.</p>
<p>I also know that the social studies grad program isn't accepting hardly anyone this year, from a friend who was looking into it.</p>
<p>I know a girl in the PGMT program who did engineering undergrad, but otherwise I don't know how well UVA students do applying after undergrad, since the option was available before that to them.</p>
<p>I've heard it's VERY easy to get in if you're a guy. True? Regardless, I don't know anyone who didn't get in, and even if you don't, teaching is essentially a non-competitive field so an MA/MT from JMU or GMU would be just as good.</p>
