Curve discussion

Thanks for the replies!

I think I might go ahead and give it another shot in June; the worst that can happen i a wasted $50 and a couple of hours. Not too big of a deal. And if I increase, great, if not then it’s not too big of a deal.

Question though, if I retake and end up getting like…34/34/34/35 (in no particular order) keeping a composite of 34, which one would make more sense to send? As compared to my E: 32 R: 36 M: 35 S: 34

^I’d worry about that if it happens, probably the latter though… Good luck!!!

you’d send both so they can use the highest of each section. for example, if u get that 34/34/34/35 in THAT order vs. your 32/36/35/34…they would super-score using 34/36/35/35, which is actually a 35.

@smarteeangel101, that’s not true at all.
the majority of colleges DO NOT SUPERSCORE the ACT. Very few do, although most superscore SAT…
so no, colleges don’t usually superscore the ACT.

@dana, that is very much true.

[Colleges that super score ACT : College Admissions Counseling](Colleges that superscore the ACT - BS/MD Admissions by College Admissions Partners)

that doesn’t look like very few schools to me;there are some great ones in there, in fact.

i would send both.

before you trust that list, i’d confirm with several officers from the schools you’re interested in…
i recently found a few errors on there (ex: Stanford) that don’t actually superscore…just be cautious

but yeah, you can send both and the college will just look at the best one

i got - 2 math and a 35

the rest seemed like -1 = 1 point lower but I don’t know for sure

I got 36 math, but 18 and 17 subsections, so I guess I missed one… 36 science, probably -0 from what I’ve been reading, 30 reading, -6/7, I suppose, 34 English, probably -2/3
