What do you guys think are the curves for each subject?

English: 36- 75
Math: 36- 59-60
Reading: 36- 39-40
Science: 36- 40

english 36-74
math 36-58
Reading 36-38
Science 36-39

English 36- 74
Math 36- 58
Reading 36- 39
Science 36- 40

Out of about 15 practice tests, I have never seen an English portion allow a test taker to miss a question and still get a 36. I doubt this time will be different. I hope it is, though!

The math curve may actually allow us to miss 2 and still get a 36. Many people found it very difficult, but I still thought June was much harder.

Reading will probably be 1 wrong, maybe 2 (if we’re lucky), for a 36 due to the strange fiction passage and the comparison passages.

Science might allow us to miss one and get a 36. I thought it was really simple and had time left over, but many found it difficult. It definitely won’t be an extremely harsh curve as I’ve seen on other practice tests.

Thoughts on this?

Can someone explain how the curve works and what the numbers here signify?

“The curve” refers to the number of questions that must be answered correctly on a given test date in each section to obtain a given score. This is determined by ACT based on the difficulty of the test.

I thought math was a lott harder than June (got a 36 in June) but hey, that’s just me! Same w/ English, but I felt the same as you about science… Hopefully the curves are good for everything!

Well then math will probably be 58 for a 36 and 56 for a 35. That would be nice! And I thought English was harder but I don’t think a 74 will be a 36. 35 on English will probably be a 72, though.

How come mines still says “registered” and not “tested”? and it is 3 more days until results… what does it say for you guys?

Still registered.

E 75
M 58-60
R 39-40
S 39-40

I think this will be the curve for getting a 36 on each section

English: 36 = 75
Math: 36 = 59-60
Reading: 36 = 39-40
Science: 36 = 39-40

That said, will we ever really know? Because this test and our answers aren’t released, will we ever know how many we actually missed? Or how it is scored??

Shoot… I am soo scared that i failed in reading and science… hoping for a 10-12 on essay, 33-36 on Englisg and 35-36 on Math…Only if i had done better in reading and science… :(
