Curves for PSAT?

okay, so personally, i thought that Math was harder than that of the practice test.. so -1 shouldn't be 760. It should be like a 770 or so 780? Idk.. the math just felt harder. Writing was really easy, reading.. the vocab was easy but the passages were hard!

So can anyone tell me what my score would be?
Reading - 8 blank 3 wrong (yikes i know! i didnt finish reading 1 whole passage!)
Math - 2 wrong (multiple choice) 2 Blank
Writing - 2 wrong.

The psat curve is hard. 2 wrong in each of the 3 sections is likely under 220. Three wrong in each section is around 210 because of the guessing penalty.

This is a guess:
reading - 60
math - 68
writing - 72

200

Math - 2 wrong (i think .. i'm just know at least 1 is def wrong)
CR - at least 2 wrong
W - probably around 69 (haven't gotten any more or less than 9 wrong while doing practice tests this past week)

math seems about right. Shouldn't writing be higher? Around a 74 or 75? And shouldn't reading be a bit higher? Like around 640ish? I thought it was hard! Anyways, thanks.......... Anyone else?

yeah i think writing is closer to 75

My take:

reading- -1 77/78
math - -1 77
writing- -1 76 (could be way off)

what would that make my score?

by the way, 3 wrong on writing.

Three wrong on the writing will be around 72.

How much would be about 6 or 7 wrong on CR? and 4 wrong on writing?

How much for: - 5-6 wrong CR (debated), - 2-4 M (prob 3), and - 1-2 W (maybe none)?
Would this score make the cutoff in TX this year? * prays *

jennieblue- about 72? for CR, about 69/70 for math, and to be optimistic 80 for writing.

I think...can someone correct me? Also, how much would -4 on CR and -3 on writing be? Thanks!

The curve on writing is awful. Last time I got about 6 wrong on math and got 69, but got only 1 wrong on writing and got 75. Really now...

so my anticipated result should be 68, 72, 60..? 200?

Yeti Crab, you got 6 wrong in math and got 69?! I got 1 wrong, skipped 1 and got a 72!!! That's so screwed up....

My mistake... I checked again and only got 4 wrong for math.

Haha, I was about to say .. but still, 2 questions wrong drops you from 80->72, and 2 more wrong after that is 72->69.

Yeah, it's unfair how it takes only half/third as many questions to drop from an 80 to 70 than from 70 to 60.

They probably want the PSAT scores to be mediocre so people can be happy when SAT scores are higher than the projected score.

Bummed Man

I really think I'm going to be 1 problem away from NM.. =/

My prediction was 2 wrong in each section and Maryland is 220 O.O.

Stupid Cardboard box problem :(

omg yeah. That problem ****ed me off too!
