I just took a Math midterm and just wondering, are there curves for the midterm?
Or it depends on the professor?
Also, what percentage is considered a "good" grade on midterms?

Which math class with which professor…?

“good” –> the higher, the better.

Errr typically Math 10 Series courses don’t get much of a curve (material is very basic, and many pre-meds take it, whom often score perfect.)

Most Math 20 Series classes get a 5-10% overall grade boost at the end of the course, depending on which part of the series it is, who your professor is, and how well the rest of your class is doing.

Individual Midterms are given “rough guidelines” to what their “curved” score should be, but they are by no means an actual curved score–professors only curve the final grade. Your professor or TA should have explained the rough curve for the midterm; if not, you can ask.

i typically got around 22, 21 /30 on my midterms for 10c but i owned my final (im guessing 96?) so i ended up with an A. hope this helped.
