Cushing/Cheshire/Procter/Gould

<p>As a parent with children at different BS’s, I can hopefully weigh in on this one…
S is at Proctor (has been for a few years). Interviewed at a number of schools that have come up in this thread, applied to some others and it came down to two: Proctor and Holderness. Two <em>VERY</em> different environments. Proctor has that nurturing, supportive and respectful environment. Holderdness didn’t present that to our S. Holderness wanted our S to enroll, but did nothing to convince him that was the place for him. When called on it, the director of admission stated “That’s not who we are…”</p>

<p>S hasn’t looked back and Proctor was and is the absolute right place for him He’s a high achiever, enrolled mostly in AP courses throughout his time there. As has been stated before, you need to visit the schools. I would also urge you to check out (and continue to visit) Proctor’s execellent web site - especially read “Chuck’s Corner”. The regularly updated blog does indeed give one an accurate picture of what goes on at Proctor and how the relationships between the students/faculty/staff/town are important/celebrated/debated…</p>
