can any one tell me how important CVs are? All the colleges in my list allow me to upload a CV if I want to, but I have no idea whether I should submit it or not. I mean what's the trend? Does everyone submit it? Will colleges think that I was too lazy if I don't submit? :D

I think it is best not to in most cases. I was just reading a post by the admissions officer from Tufts who posts here discouraging it for a number of reasons, mainly they already have enough to read about you and they don’t expect that they will get every detail and they don’t need to.

But I read that the CV is the first thing they look at according to this article.

^Eh, that’s not the same for every college. Uploading a CV or resume shouldn’t hurt your application, but I don’t know how much it will help either. I guess if you have a lot of employment or research experience, uploading a CV/resume is preferable.
