Five years ago I would have said you were a shoe-in at Case. But, as their acceptance rates are plummeting, I can’t say that now. You have a strong application and it’s good that you applied EA. But, Case opened up ED last year and they are probably going to pull strongly from that pool moving forward as it increases the schools yield and decreases the need to offer merit scholarships. Case has been an underestimated school for many years and has a unique place among the “liberal arts” tech schools to really drive forward in the next 10-20 years. Their current university president has created one of the most aggressive strategic plans in the country for university growth. I wish you well, although I’m not sure of the outcome here. What major are you applying to?

I’m applying to nursing. I also had a great phone interview with my admissions counselor.

@Prouddad26

All of that is great. Probably the most important thing to do at this point is demonstrate interest. You should be hearing in the next 1-2 weeks, yes? Best of luck!

Yes, I will be. I’m super nervous! CWRU is my third choice school, my number one is Boston College.

@prouddad26

@ProudDad26 I have been accepted into CWRU with 31,000 in scholarships a year, but it is not enough for me to go.

congrats @em1998 - that’s an awesome merit scholarship! But, I’m sorry it’s not enough to allow you to go. I hope you have another great opportunity available to you. Best of luck!
