Does anyone else know any other universities besides Case Western Reserve that has Material Science or Polymers Graduate program?
UIUC, Ohio State, many others
US News ranks 107 Materials Engineering programs.

You can use the ASEE engineering program profile, to determine if a school has a Materials engineering program.

A few schools have a specific polymer program, but usually it’s lumped under materials science or chemical engineering or chemistry.
If you’re interested in polymers, or organic/soft materials in particular the schools with the uniquely ‘polymer engineering’ reputation are probably Akron, CMU, UMass Amherst, UCSB… I’m missing some of the higher ranked schools because they’re known for EVERYTHING, not just polymers in particular. Northwestern, Cornell and MIT have very strong polymer labs.
Thank you everyone for your replies. My girls are doing their Super senior years at
Case Western Reserve, majoring in Polymers. They are looking forwards to getting their Masters in Polymers or Material Science. I am start wondering which degree is more useful as far as job wise… Polymers or Materials Science. I know Lehigh offers both.
@CWRUMom2 - Welcome to the Forum! I think that the Materials Science would be a broadening experience if they already have a degree focusing on polymer science. As others have said, there are many Materials Science programs all over the country.
From the other threads, I see there are CWRU parents who have been very helpful with feedbacks. @Sdgal2 , I was wondering if you want to chime in.
