CWRU students of 2023 who applied for PPSP.
Any one who applied for CWRU PPSP program lets discuss here
What is difference between PPSP and Pre-Med programs
PSPP is an 8 year program where if you are admitted you are guaranteed (if you keep up your GPA and do the normal premed stuff) admittance to the CWRU Medical School after you finish your Bachelors degree.
It is a very competitive program with a separate admittance procedure.

Pre-med is just majoring in whatever you want, taking the pre med classes ( Bio, Chem, Org Chem, Calc, English, Physics) and then separately applying to Medical School.
Nice information Bopper…
Does Pre-med and PSPP class will be same during under Grad ?
What i see only difference is PPSP with MCAT and PRE_MED is with MCAT remaining all things are common ?
Does CWRU help pre-med students to get into medicine track prep activities during under Grad just like PPSP class?
Sorry to ask you so many questions at a time
In both cases, you have to take the pre-med required classes: biochemistry, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics/statistics, and behavioral sciences.
But the main thing is if you keep up a certain GPA and do the volunteering/shadowing, then you are guaranteed admittance to medical school with PSPP.
It is up to you to volunteer, but there are many hospitals etc. very near campus. These are the kind of activities/support that are available:
To-Do List for First-Year Students Interested in Pre-Health
1.Take courses recommended for first-year students pursuing professional health sciences.
2.Explore and take courses that are genuinely interesting regardless of whether or not they fall into fields associated with the health science professions.
3.Attend the pre-health information sessions during new student orientation.
4.If not already enrolled by the middle of October, get access to the CWRU pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-health professions Blackboard page by sending a request to Mr. Wes Schaub.

6.Shadow at least one professional in your health science field of interest in order to learn more about the rewards and demands of the career.
7.Explore opportunities to engage in research by talking to your professors and advisors and through the SOURCE (Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors) Office.
8.Consider joining student organizations with a variety of focuses (not only health- or science-based) to explore academic interests, develop leadership skills, and to HAVE FUN!
9.Attend information sessions held throughout the first year focused on career exploration, applicant preparation, and professional development in medicine, dentistry, and other health professional areas.
10.During your first year, meet at least once with Mr. Wes Schaub (pre-medicine) to discuss your interests and goals related to the health science professions.

I applied to the PPSP and I’ve also been accepted to the university, but I’m not sure if that means I’m accepted into the PPSP as well.
I applied to the PPSP and my portal shows that all of my materials have been accepted, however I have not heard anything yet, not even for regular undergraduate acceptance.
PSPP has its own admissions schedule

Applied for PPSP Dentistry. Anyone else for Dentistry?
Does anyone know about when they will tell us if we are finalists? The thread from last year said Jan 27, so would that be about the same this year?
It will be around the same time. They have to do the same process every time.
4 more days to go !!!
I would not count on the actual day…just on or about
