CWRU Transfer Fall 2020

Didn’t see a thread yet so decided to make one.

Has anyone received a decision from Case yet?

I am in the process of applying. How long was your personal statement??

I submitted my application 2 ½ weeks ago but still haven’t received an email to a portal or application status. What should I do?

I would email or call the admissions office and just ask them about it. They’ve probably been really busy due to coronavirus but I’m sure they’ll try and help out

I’m also considering to submit my application to CWRU. Does anyone know if they are need blind or need sensitive/aware?? I need a big chunk of aid to be able to attend the school once accepted.

Need-based Financial Aid
Transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships, grants, loans and work-study. CWRU meets the full demonstrated financial need for all admitted students.

Merit-based Scholarships
Transfer students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.

Does anyone know when decisions come out for people who made the March 15 deadline? My app was completed in mid-February and I haven’t heard anything yet

I submitted my application in early march and I read somewhere that decisions usually come out 2 weeks after you submit your application, but I also haven’t heard anything. I’m not sure if maybe it’s going to be longer since of COVID or why it’s taking longer.

I just got accepted!!!, and was also awarded the $20,000 phi theta kappa scholarship. I hope that’s not all the aid I get tho

I think mine was about 500 words

Just got accepted with 25k scholarship!!!

'Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio, is the latest four-year college to establish a transfer scholarship exclusively for Phi Theta Kappa members, and it’s a big one: $20,000 a year.

It gets better — this scholarship can be stacked with other offers from the college, and there’s an unlimited amount of them, meaning all qualified applicants can receive it."

for those of you who have already been accepted, when did you submit your application?

look at previous posts in this thread…some people mention when they applied

does anyone know when this week decisions will most likely be released?

Last week it was on a Monday and people posted about it at 9:00pm.

@student937 The website says decisions are released within two weeks of application completion.

@kingkenaz I don’t think anyone has heard within 2 weeks. It took me nearly 6 weeks to hear back

I think 2 weeks is the norm in a non-pandemic time frame.

My current GPA is 3.65 and I’m majoring in Nursing. Is the GPA good enough to apply for transferring or is it not?
