You forgot to mention OSU in your post

^^ Thanks for the reminder, barrk123!!! :p

TOSU is ranked #38 in the nation and #52 in the whole world!!!

Go Bucks!!! :)

You’re welcome

Does anyone know anything about CWUR? Their website looks so amateurish.

Also, are these grad school or undergrad rankings? I believe UCSF (#24) offers only graduate programs.

57-59 shows how these rankings are awful.

Here’s the methodology: http://cwur.org/preprint.pdf</a>

What is your criticism of the methodology? That the results do not match your preconceptions?

Interesting stuff…can someone tell me how Rockefeller University keeps beating Duke and Northwestern in every international ranking? I’ve never heard of this place before.

[The Rockefeller University](http://www.rockefeller.edu/)

There you go.

The methodology is OK and there is some attempt to adjust the algorithms for size of school but not all size dependent factors are accounted for.

But WTH it’s something that has a mathematical basis and generally I think they did allright.

I have never heard about this ranking except ARWU [Academic Ranking of World Universities | ARWU | First World University Ranking | Shanghai Ranking](http://www.shanghairanking.com) published by CWCU

It is my conviction that PhDs.org is a far superior source for figuring out which PhD program is best for you.
