Cyber Security / programming

What would be a good laptop for computer programming? I am a huge apple fan but I was just curious what other laptops are good for programming.

We’ve had a few threads like this one before so you might want to look around, but the overall advice I have to give is that it doesn’t matter. There’s no “good” laptop for programming, and if you are good and study a lot you will do fine on any laptop or OS. That said, in academia and computer science in general UNIX and Unix-like operating systems are widely used and easier to work with. OS X is one of these as well as GNU/Linux, so an Apple laptop wouldn’t be a bad choice. In my CS classes Windows users have to log in to a very slow virtual desktop connected to the Linux computers to do any C++ or C work, whereas I can just use the Terminal on my Mac.

However, I have no idea what Cyber Security classes or you school’s classes use, so your milage may vary.
