CYBORGS (robotics engineering courses/majors?)

I plan to be a mechanical engineer, involved with creating humanoid robotic parts/limbs, trying to create something with fluid movement, and near-human flexibility (though I could also try mimicking other animals). Since creating a humanoid robot seems impractical when there are more efficient forms (such as those of animals), I might choose to try to create biocompatible robotic parts/tools. To simplify, I guess I'm leaning towards cyborg capabilities, extending the physical and mental capabilities of humans (transhumanism). So far, possible courses might involve: mechanical engineering, biomechatronics, biorobotics, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering (since it seems related to prosthetics, which I may create on my path to my goal).

Also, should I just focus in one or a few fields, and hope to have a good team of engineers from other fields, or try to absorb as much knowledge as I can to help me envision my designs?

Any suggestions would be nice, and is bioengineering/biomedical engineering related at all, or something entirely different?
