"D" and significant GPA drop; what can I do to not be rescinded?

Hi guys! I’ve been admitted regular decision. I’m still unsure about attending - I applied for my parents, was going to give up my spot, but then… I started to REALLY like BMC. But… I may not even be able to attend. How hard is Bryn Mawr on senior grades? My grades are TERRIBLE.

Health- C+
Econ- C
AP Lit- B-
Physics- C
Chinese Honors- A-
AP Calc AB- D
Advisory- A

But then again, my GPA was always sort of bad. My first semester senior grades were:

AP Gov- A-
AP Calc- C
AP Lit- C+
Chinese Honors- A-
Physics- B-
Advisory- A

My overall GPA also is unweighted 3.4, weighted 3.6. Please give me any opinions, insights, advice! I have NO idea what to do, because I’m growing to like BM more and more but I would be really sad if I wasn’t able to at all. I have no idea what to do, and I’m really scared to contact the office of admissions.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I can’t seem to find the edit tool. But I meant to type that my Economics grade was a “B”, not C.

It’s true that admissions is contingent upon satisfactory completion of your current course of study. I would encourage you to contact your admissions counselor directly as soon as possible to discuss your specific situation. It would be better to know where you stand now, and have an opportunity to explain your particular case, than to wait until the summer. You can find the admissions officer for your region on the admissions web page: whos_who[/url”>http://www.brynmawr.edu/admissions/whos_who.shtml]whos_who
