<p>what's it like in the winter? I'm from California and where i live it usually doesn't get below about fifty and we have very little rain. I've only been to D.C. in the sping, so i have no clue what it would be like in the winter months.</p>
<p>It’s not that bad. Where in Cali are you from? North or South? In DC it drops down to usually no lower than 30 and only snows a few times. It can get icy outside though. I would definitely recommend you buy a medium winter coat and invest in some sweaters and durable shoes. Don’t forget earmuffs! Ask around - people will be willing to help you. </p>
<p>You’ll probably feel colder the first year because you aren’t used to it but you’ll be fine.</p>
